My wife and I stayed for 5 nights on our honeymoon. We were in one of the one-bedroom suites with balcony and direct pool access with our own jacuzzi. Our room was immaculate and spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There was a lovely complimentary bottle of champagne for us. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with cooking utensils. The spacious outdoor communal BBQ area was also very well stocked and clean at all times. The reception staff were absolutely lovely, Liz was bloody amazing, nothing was too much trouble!!The resort was peaceful and quiet and only a short walk to the main hub of PD. We are already planning our return trip!!
The location of Shanara is within walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach and marina. The resort itself was amazing, especially with the two pools that are open until late. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the room were spacious, comfortable and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here next time you're in Port Douglas.

What a fantastic resort you couldn't ask for anything better. Everything was at your finger tips and the lady at Reception was exceptional friendly and helpful. It was close to all amenities and the pool was very clean and inviting.
It was the first time my partner and I had been to Port Douglas and it won't be the last. Congratulations guys great job.

Thumbs up Shantara. We were there in our honeymoon and it couldn’t be easier to see Port Douglas with their 6 day package. It was so wonderful to have everything planned. Our studio pool entrance room was great. Everything you need to relax. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Easy walk to anywhere and everywhere. Close to shops restaurants and the beach. Would highly recommend for couples and groups of adults as there are no kiddies :)
Beautiful self-catering accommodation with everything you would need for a comfortable stay, including a jacuzzi bath! It's an adults only resort and it's very quiet which was lovely. The two pool areas are surrounded by lush plants. We stayed here during our honeymoon and they kindly gifted some sparkling wine which was a kind touch. Liz on the front desk was so lovely & even allowed us to check in early when we arrived a bit sooner. Would highly recommend staying here 😊
One night in a room with a pool view was gifted to us for Christmas. The service and amenities were flawless and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast hamper. Would definitely recommend.
We just spent a very relaxing week at Shantara Resort. Our first floor apartment was extremely clean, beautifully furnished and had all mod cons we needed for a great stay. We especially loved enjoying breakfasts and pre dinner drinks on the balcony overlooking the pool. A clean was provided mid week.
When not at the beach we made use of the two tropical pools, our favourite being the one with the water feature.
A special shout out to Liz and Julie at reception for their friendliness and service with a smile .
Resort is a leisurely 5 minute walk into town and to Four Mile Beach.

The location was just fantastic with a 3 minute walk to the main shopping area and a 5 minute walk to Four Mile beach.
Will definitely be holidaying there again
